Privacy
Short, because this site does very little with your data.
What this site does not do
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts of any kind. Every page you see here was served by this server and nothing else.
- No advertising cookies and no data sold or shared with advertisers.
- No account, so no password of yours is stored here.
- No card details. Payment is arranged by e-mail or on a payment provider's own pages. Your card number never touches this server.
Cookies
Two, both from this site, neither used for tracking:
- A PHP session cookie, set when you use the contact form or leave a comment. It holds the anti-spam token and nothing about you, and it expires when you close the browser.
- A light/dark preference, stored in your browser's local storage. It never reaches the server — it exists so the site does not forget which mode you picked.
The comment system may set its own cookie to remember your name so you do not have to type it again.
What is collected, and when
If you write from the contact form
Your name, address, message, the page you wrote from, your IP address and the time arrive in our inbox as an email. They stay in our email, they are used to reply to you, and they go nowhere else.
If you subscribe to the newsletter
Your name and address, used to send you that newsletter. Every message has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you. Your address is not sold, rented or shared.
If you leave a comment
The name you type, your comment, and your IP address, which is kept for spam handling. The name and comment are public once approved; the address and IP are not. Comments are moderated before they appear.
If you buy something
What we hold is your name, email and what you bought — enough to send you the download and future updates. When a payment provider handles the sale, they become the data controller for the payment itself and have their own privacy policy, which is shown at checkout.
Server logs
The web server records requests in the ordinary way: address, time, page, browser string. This is standard for every website and is used for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
Write from the contact page and ask, and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No form, no process. If you are in the EU or the UK these are rights under the GDPR; if you are in California they are rights under the CCPA; either way the answer here is the same.
Children
This site sells developer tools and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this site starts doing something it does not do today, this page changes first. The date it was last edited is in the footer below.
Questions about any of this go to the contact page.
