A shopping cart that lives on your own site. You pay for it once, and nobody takes a percentage of what you sell through it.

The idea

Hosted store platforms charge a monthly fee and then, on most plans, a slice of every sale on top of what the payment processor already takes. For a shop doing real volume that is a meaningful amount of money going out every month for software that has not changed since you signed up.

This is the same arrangement as everything else here: you buy the code, you install it on your hosting, your products and orders live in your database, and your payment processor deals with you directly.

Where it is

Still being written. We are not going to list features it does not have yet, or promise a date we might miss — when it is finished and has run on a real shop of ours, this page will say what it actually does.

Want to know when it is ready? Put your address in the box on the left and you will hear the day it lands. If there is something specific you need a cart to do, tell us from the contact page — we are still deciding what goes in the first version, and requests from people who actually run shops carry weight.

In the meantime

If you are selling a handful of digital products rather than running a catalogue, you may not need a cart at all. A single payment link on a product page handles it — that is exactly what this site does.
