Licence and terms
Written in plain English on purpose. If something here is unclear, that is a fault worth telling us about.
1. What you are buying
A licence to use the script, not ownership of it. The copyright stays with RilatoSolutions.com.
You may
- Install it on any number of servers, domains and sites that you own or operate.
- Install and configure it for a client as part of work you do for them, on a licence you have bought.
- Use it commercially, including as part of a service you charge for.
You may not
- Sell, rent, give away or otherwise distribute the script, modified or not.
- Include it in a product, theme, template or package that you distribute.
- Publish it anywhere publicly accessible, including public repositories.
- Remove the authorship notice from the file header.
Want to do something the list above forbids? Ask — separate arrangements are possible.
2. Updates
Fixes and improvements within the major version you bought are included, at no further cost, and are sent to the address you paid with. A future major rewrite may be a separate product; if so, existing customers get a discount, not a full price.
3. Support
Getting a script running on your hosting is covered, as are bugs and questions about how it works. Custom development, fixing your server, and debugging other people's code are not. The support page has the detail.
4. Delivery
Everything sold here is a download. There is nothing to ship and nothing to wait for in the post.
Payment and delivery are handled by Gumroad, who are the merchant of record for the sale: they are the seller on your receipt, they collect and remit any sales tax or VAT, and they hold the file. When your payment clears, Gumroad gives you the download immediately and sends the link to the address you paid with. That is the delivery — there is no step where you wait for us.
The link stays in your Gumroad library, so you can download it again later without asking us for it. Updates within the version you bought appear there too.
If the download does not work, or the e-mail never arrives, tell us within 5 days of your order and we will get the file to you. Check the spam folder first — that is where it usually is. After 5 days without hearing from you, the order is treated as delivered.
5. Refunds and cancellations
If a script does not do what its page on this site says it does, and we cannot fix that for you, you get your money back. Ask within 30 days of buying and say what went wrong. You will have an answer within two working days.
There are two ways to ask, and both reach us:
- From the contact page here, with your order number.
- Through Gumroad, from the receipt they e-mailed you.
Gumroad processes the refund, back to the card or account you paid with. The 30-day window above is the refund policy set on our Gumroad account, so it is the same figure you see at checkout and the same one they apply.
What is not a refund reason: you changed your mind, you bought the wrong thing without asking first, or your hosting cannot meet the requirements listed on the product page. The requirements are on every page precisely so this does not happen — and if you are unsure whether your host qualifies, ask us before you buy and we will tell you honestly.
An order that has not been paid yet can be cancelled at any time, for any reason, by simply not completing it.
Writing to us first is usually quicker than a dispute: most of what goes wrong is something we can fix in one reply.
6. What is not guaranteed
These scripts are supplied as they are. We test them, we run them on our own sites, and we fix what we find — but no software is free of defects, and we cannot guarantee that any of them will be uninterrupted or error-free on your infrastructure.
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for the script. In particular we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
7. What you must not use them for
The Autoresponder must not be used to send unsolicited bulk email. The Redirect Manager must not be used to hide malware, run phishing, or disguise a destination in order to deceive the person clicking. Doing either terminates your licence, and in the case of the Autoresponder it will also get your server blacklisted, which is a problem no script can solve for you.
8. Changes
If these terms change, the version in force when you bought is the one that applies to your purchase. The date this page was last edited is in the footer.
9. Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
