Do I need to be a programmer?

No. If you can upload a file by FTP and edit a few settings, you can install it. Rules are created from the dashboard, not in code. Adding it to a page is a single line you copy and paste.

Will it slow down my website?

No. A click costs four database statements — we measured it. Location lookups are only done when a rule actually needs them. And if no rule matches, the visitor simply sees your page as normal.

Is it safe for SEO?

Yes — that’s one of the main reasons to use it. Use a 301 when a page has moved for good, so search engines pass its rankings to the new address. Use a 302 for temporary detours, like a product that’s out of stock, so the original page keeps its place.

Will it work with my store or website?

Any page that runs PHP takes the one-line include. Pages that can’t run PHP can use the JavaScript or SSI mode. The server where you install it needs PHP 8.1 or newer, MySQL or MariaDB, and Apache or Nginx — standard on almost every web host.
